STC881 is a 3 Watt 501 wedge bulb that is used in the automatic gearbox selector housing to illuminate the gear selection indicator.
Whilst they may look similar please do no substitute this bulb with a W5W sidelight bulb. 5 Watt bulbs will run too hot and could possibly damage the thin gear indicator strip that is illuminated.
